Teerarthgarh Waterfalls is almost 32 kilometers away from Jagdalpur. It is one of the famous waterfalls that drops into Mugabahar River and from all across the country lots of travelers love to visit this place. Visitors will get an amazing view of falling sheets of water which fall from a height of approximately 50 meters in Bastar. One can also visit old Shiv-Parvati temple here. There are various other small waterfalls include Kanger Dhara near Kutumsar, Mandra, Chitradhara, Tamada and Dhoomar which lure a large number of travelers from all across the country.
Teerarthgarh Falls is situated near Jagdalpur at Kanger Bhatti in the Kanger National Park. This 300 feet fall is an enticing and magnificent one and is also a ‘must see’ destination in the tourist map of Chhattisgarh. The falls is astride the Mugabahar River and the flow is strong.
There is a Shiva – Parvathi temple at the falls and hence the falls is also a pilgrimage spot. Thousands of devotees converge in this spot on festival days to pay their homage and are also affected by the stupefying sight of the waterfalls. The place is silent and serene and visitors who enjoy the ambience are addicted to this spot. The local people visit the place for picnics and also to escape from the heat during summers and to pay their respects at the temple.


How To Reach Chitrakoot Waterfalls

Air :  From Raipur Airport: 284 kms, approx 5 hrs by Car. There is Jagdalpur Airport, is no intra state flights, but can be reached from Raipur Airport by Air Taxi Service started by Govt. of Chhattisgarh Aviation Academy.

Train : Jagdalpur Station is on Kirandul-Vishakhapattnam Line. It is getting expanded to connect with Dalli Rajhara, to connect it with Durg on Howrah-Mumbai Rail Line.
