About Purkhauti Muktangan Museum
Purkhauti Muktangan is a open air art Museum cum Park Developed by Tourism Ministry of Chhattisgarh. It is located in Naya Raipur of Chhattisgarh. Here you can find all the Tribal Culture , Activity and all the popular Tourist places in Chhattisgarh.
There are all the models of Tourist Places like ChitraKut of South Bastar, Bhoram Dev (Kawardha), dentawara, Jagadapur Forest Places and Folk Dance Model.
This Meuseum is being developed by Government of Chhattisgarh, Culture Department under Ministry of Tourism. The habitate, artifacts, folk dances, food habits of the tribals are being desplayed.
According to Circular Issued by Culture Department, Raipur Picnic Spot Purkhauti-Muktangan Entry Fees Structure are following :-
Each 12 Years Old Child - 2 Rupees for Entry
Each More Than 12 Year Old Child - 5 Rupees for Entry
For Institutional Group 25 or More than 25 Individuals - 5 Rupees for Entry.
Picnic Spot Purkhauti-Muktangan Opened at Early Morning 7.00 AM to Evening 6.00 PM.
How to Reach Purkhauti Muktangan Museum
Air: The Nearest Airport is Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur. From Raipur Airport to Purkhauti Muktangan is aprx 10 Kms by Car .
By Road: From Raipur, drive 19km south east via Malviya Road towards Ring Road and get onto State Highway 2 to reach Purkhauti Muktangan near Radiant School at Uparwara, New Capital Area.
By Train: Located on the Mumbai-Howrah route of the Indian Railways, Raipur is well connected to major cities by daily trains. Purkhauti-Muktangan is apprx 21 Kms. from Raipur Station.
